Partnership announced between Lethbridge & District Exhibition and Therapeutic Riding Association

He continued: “Our lottery program is fundamental to changing lives and creating experiences and memories that last a lifetime for its beneficiaries – we look forward to continuing to grow our connection, together.”

The Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association offers people with a variety of health conditions the opportunity to receive hands-on training in riding and horse care. The association was formed in 1976 and was previously known as Rainbow Riding Centre. Since its inception, the program has grown to include important equine mental health and addiction therapies in conjunction with Alberta Health Services, helping over 350 people each year.

Jason Shriner, Executive Director of the association, said: “The empowerment work of the Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association is rooted in connection and relationship, especially the joy and healing that comes from working with horses, connecting to the land and to each other, taking the best of western romance to uplift the soul.

Shriner added, “We see the Lethbridge & District Expo playing a vital role in our community by facilitating the rural-urban connection that is the hallmark of southern Alberta’s success – a role that LTRA also seeks to undertake in his work. Synergy between organizations is natural.

The final draw for the Lethbridge & District Exhibition Lotteries 50/50 program will take place on August 30, 2022, and one winner will take home 50% of the grand prize winnings.
