Riding gear stolen from an event at Bolesworth Castle

POLICE are investigating after lockers were broken into at an event and riding gear was stolen.

According to Cheshire Police, between 10.30am on Saturday July 2 and 5.30am on Sunday July 3, the suspects forced their way into lockers at the Bolesworth Hill Road site and a quantity of horse tack was taken.

An investigation is ongoing and Detective Constable Paul Boneham has called on anyone with information to come forward.

He said: “These thefts happened during a busy event with many people in and around the area.

“We have a number of ongoing investigations and I want to reassure the public that we are doing everything we can to find those responsible.

“As part of our investigations, I urge anyone in the area who has seen something that doesn’t look quite right, to come forward.

“The same goes for anyone who was driving in the area overnight and may have dash cam footage to come forward.

“If someone is offered saddlery, be careful and if you have any suspicions, contact us and we will do the rest.”
