Vaani Kapoor took riding lessons for Shamshera

Vaani Kapoor is preparing for the release of his next film Shamshera. She will be seen under another avatar in Karan Malhotra’s film. She will play the role of Sona, who is a traveling entertainer from India in the 1800s. Apparently, Vaani Kapoor had to learn horse riding for the film in which she is paired with Ranbir Kapoor.

Shamshera is a period drama film directed by Karan Malhotra. It is now widely known that Ranbir Kapoor took on a dual role for the first time in his acting career. Following this, we discovered another anecdote according to which actress Vaani Kapoor took horse riding lessons to embody her character in Shamshera.

‘Shamshera’ director Karan Malhotra confirmed the news saying, “Vaani had to go through horse training because when you train with an animal and you want to work with an animal on film, you have to establish a relationship with the animal…the horse she trained with the longest and eventually that horse became a friend.

Vaani Kapoor added: “Even for riding you need that emotional connection with the animal. They’re going to dump you otherwise. I remember I used to get all that packet of cookies and c this is how the trainer also told me to feed the horse, make friends with the horse and it’s so cute. I mean they are like the most beautiful animals. I think he is extremely important to be friends with them first. They only know the language of love.

Karan Malhotra previously directed Agneepath in 2012 and Brothers in 2015. He has now directed Shamshera after seven years. The film is a period action-adventure drama starring Ranbir Kapoor in a dual role and Sanjay Dutt as the antagonist.
